The Mad Tea Party: An Alice Fic: Chapter 4Chapter the Fourth
The Mad Tea Party met for the very last time that next day. They were at the same old table on the front lawn of Hatter's shack, with the same old tea, and with the same old friends. But this time, everybody was silent. Especially Marchie. She hadn't spoken a word all day.
Hatter pushed her teacup toward her. "Marchie, u haven't touched your tea yet. Drink up. This isn't very like you." Marchie picked up the cup and took a sip, still silent. "Cheer up. Maybe this is a new opportunity for us." Marchie looked up at her old friend, whom she had known almost 11 years, and she being 16. He stood up, looking fearless, trying to bring back her spirit. "Think of all that's out there, Marchie! The miles and smiles and LIFE to be LIVED!" He was standing on the table now, growing more excited with every word. "Think, Marchie, think. We could leave Wonderland for good! We could go to all of the places we've dreamed of! Past the Oblivion, into the Distance! Oh, how much fun we co
The Mad Tea Party: An Alice Fic: Chapter 3Chapter the Third
The moon was high in the sky by the time Marchie got to the great weeping willow known as the Memory Tree, that looked over the crest of its hill at the Stream of Tears. Cloudy snapped his pocket watch closed and rose to greet her, his beautiful silvery fur seeming to glow in the eery moonlight. Marchie leaped right up to him. "Marchie..." He took her little golden paws in his own. "You look lovely tonight..." Marchie blushed under her fur. She did look very nice. Her fur was neatly combed and she was wearing one of her mother's dresses-- a pale blue one with little silver buttons-- and she had even worn a blue ribbon on her ears.
"Listen, Marchandra... There's something i need to tell u..." It always made her heart flutter when Cloudy used her full name. She braced herself, hoping and praying he would say what she had been wanting him to say for a long time... "Listen... You and I have spent a lot of time together, and I all want in the world is to spend even more ti
The Mad Tea Party: An Alice Fic: Chapter 2Chapter the Second
Marchie lived in her own little burrow, big enough that when her friends ate a nibble of the Essence cakes, they'd fit perfectly into it with her. About 2-and-5-quarter blocks away lived Hatter. Mallie lived in a tiny burrow in the marsh that nobody has ever visited before. Chessie, however, came and went wherever she pleased, here and there and anywhere that suited her. The friends always had their afternoon tea at Hatter's shack, though.
As she hopped along, Marchie took a quick swig of the Dew from the canteen at her belt, which instantly made her grow into her more humanoid form, taller and more humanly- built, a young, slender, modest-bodied girl with golden hair, green eyes, and a hare's ears, fur, legs, and tail. Soon she came to the rickety wooden gate with an upside-down mailbox to the left of it. Upon opening the gate she was forced to automatically duck, as usual, for this time a teacup had been launched at her head. "My, my, my, Hatter. A teacup today? Yo

Chapter the First
Marchandra the Hare pulled her ears back and fastened them together with a deep green velvet ribbon. This practice came as routine to her, since doing so kept her bothersomely long ears out of her face, and also distracted from the incessant ticking noise that came from the many clocks ticking in her workshop, even though the ribbon tended to mat the fur at the base of her ears. Once she had them satisfyingly out of her way, she turned on the heel of her rear left paw and hopped through the ticking tunnels of the Burrow to her front room, dodging the piles of clockwork on the floor and ducking the half-finished watches dangling from the ceiling. Marchie never seemed to finish a clock herself; they had a tendency to fix themselves on their own time.
She came to her workbench and got straight to work on that day's watches. She never bothered getting ready for work in the morning... After all, what was the point if nobody was to see her here? She
The Mad Tea Party: An Alice Fic: ProloguePrologue
Life has no "ordinary", no "extraordinary", or even a 'strange' in Wonderland. What happens just happens, and although there is some routine to the happenings, you never know what the next day will bring, which is why almost everyone in Wonderland lives for one day at a time. Only the mad and the cautious will consider any other days ahead, and only those who have memories worth remembering look at the days behind. And anyhow, there is an enormous difference between just plain mad and completely insane. This is the story of a few souls: one who is mad enough to look at things beyond, one who is mad with past suffering, one other who is mad enough to wander into a rabbit's hole, and one who is insanely mad with jealously. If you are not mad, then I suggest u set down this story immediately, because after all, this is Wonderland. We're all mad here...
